Pivot turns are great to know for all dance styles, especially Smooth and Standard (Waltz, Foxtrot, Tango, ect.). This video breaks down the basics of what a pivot turn is, where it is used, and how to do the forward half of a pivot turn. Half pivot turns are just as commonly used as full pivot turns.
