🌊 Rhythm on the Coast: West Coast Swing Workshop & Social 💃🕺 Ready to make waves on the dance floor? Join Spark Up Dance at the Eagles Lodge in Coos Bay for a full afternoon of rhythm, connection, and fun! Hosted by Paul Rutan and featuring instructors Brett & Keri, this event is designed for everyone—whether you want to polish your technique or take your very first step. "Come solo or bring a crew—everyone dances!" What to Expect: We have designed a schedule that flows perfectly from learning to doing. ⚡ The Intermediate Edge (2:00 PM): Already know your basics? We will dive into technique, connection, and musicality to sharpen your skills and make your dance feel effortless. 👣 WCS Fundamentals (3:00 PM): Perfect for brand new dancers or those wanting a refresher! We will walk you through the essential steps so you can "walk in a beginner, walk out a dancer." 🎉 The Social Experience (4:00 PM): Put it all into practice! Stick around for two hours of social dancing with music by DJ Keri. It’s a friendly, supportive environment to try out your new moves. We rotate partners throughout the class so you will get to dance with everyone. It’s a great way to meet people. What do I need to know to attend? - For the 3:00 PM Beginning Class: Absolutely nothing! No prior experience is required. - For the 2:00 PM Intermediate Class:** You should be comfortable with West Coast Swing basic patterns and timing (Left Side Pass, Under Arm Turn, Sugar Push, Whip, etc.).
