Why Dance with Us?

Diverse Teaching Methods
We adapt to how you learn best—using visual, auditory, kinesthetic and other methods—across private lessons, group classes, and online coaching.

Encouraging Environment

We build your confidence by highlighting your strengths, tailoring our feedback style to your preference, and tracking your progress so you can tangibly see your improvement over time.

Proper Expectations
We give you a clear vision of your end goal and clarify when we are just using an exaggeration to teach a concept. Most importantly, we empower you by showing that there is more than one "right way" to dance.

Frequently Asked Questions
Do I need a partner?
No! In our group classes, we frequently rotate partners, so you will have the chance to dance with many different people. In private lessons, you will learn directly with one of our instructors.
What should I wear?
Bring something warm like a coat or jacket. The Ballroom is often cold to help with the heat of exercising. Wear clothes you feel comfortable moving in. Your welcome to come in jeans and a T-Shirt, though its always fun to dress up in slacks or a dress for a fun occasion. Bring shoes that don't have too much grip. You want to be able to spin on them. Leather, sueded, or flat plastic like bottoms work best.
I am new to dancing. Where do I start?
We offer group beginning classes at our social dances we host or are hired to teach. In Eugene, come to our first Wednesday night social dance at 6:30pm for a half hour beginning lesson in West Coast Swing. In North Bend come to the Bay Community Dance Club on the 3rd Wednesday of every month at 6:30pm and learn a new ballroom dance tailored to beginners. Private lessons are the best way to learn to dance, especially in the beginning so you have solid fundamentals. Sign up online or contact us to setup your first lesson!
How do private lessons work?
Private lessons provide one-on-one or two-on-one (for co-lead instructors Brett and Keri) instruction tailored to your specific goals and learning pace. You can book individual lessons or look at variety of lesson packages for greater savings and consistency. No additional cost for brining one additional partner.
What is your cancellation policy?
We understand that schedules can change. If you need to cancel or reschedule your lesson, please contact us at least 24 hours in advance. Cancellations made with less than 24 hours' notice may be subject to the full cost of the lesson.
Where are your classes and lessons located?
We are based in Eugene, Oregon, but we travel to North Bend for one full week every month to teach. In Eugene: Platform360 Dance Studio: 1840 Willamette Street, Suite 206 Eugene, OR 97405 Salseros Dance Studios: 2512 Oakmont Way Unit C, Eugene, OR 97401 In North Bend/Coos Bay: North Bay Side Grange 67575 E Bay Rd, North Bend, OR 97459
When are you in North Bend/Coos Bay?
We spend one week each month teaching in the North Bend area. During that week, you can always catch us teaching for the Bay Community Dance Club on the third Wednesday of the month.
How do I know which city you are in on a specific day?
Because we split our time between Eugene and the coast, our schedule rotates! The best way to see exactly when we are in which town—and to book your lessons accordingly—is to check our Calendar page.
What is the "Encouraging Environment" you mention?
We believe your growth thrives in a judgment-free zone. We foster a supportive, high-quality atmosphere with clear behavioral standards. Our goal is to build your confidence by focusing on your successes, providing goal-oriented feedback, and tailoring our corrections to match your exact communication preference.
