Join Spark Up Dance for a specialized workshop dedicated entirely to the art of the steal! What exactly is "Stealing"? Stealing is a dynamic way to dance where three people share the spotlight! It happens when a third person seamlessly cuts in to take over the lead or follow role from a dancing couple. The displaced dancer then finds a moment to jump back in and "steal" the partner back. Whether it's an agreed-upon game between friends or a "steals event" where the whole room rotates, it creates a high-energy, improvisational flow. What We Will Learn: In this 2-hour workshop, we move past the basics to help you master these swaps with style and safety. We will focus on: - ✂️ Creative Cut-Ins: Forget the awkward tap on the shoulder. We will teach you dynamic entries that fit the music and movement—entries that go way beyond the basics. - 😎 Zero Awkwardness: The key to a great steal is maintaining the rhythm. You will master the mechanics of entering and exiting the slot smoothly so the dance never loses its flow. - 🤝 Polite Theft: Stealing requires high awareness. We will cover the essential etiquette of stealing to ensure every interruption is consensual, safe, and never rude.
